Rural communities today are in competition with larger urban centres and are struggling to retain commerce and their population base. In order to be able to compete at any scale, rural communities must capitalize on the unique aspects that separate them from the big cities, the foremost being the relaxed atmosphere and quality of life that they offer. Accentuating its natural assets and cultivating a stronger pride of place
to make the Morell area more marketable has the potential to attract business and residential development, and more importantly, stabilize the population base and local economy.
