Saint John is embarking on its largest urban renewal project in decades. A new Police Headquarters, Provincial Courthouse, Parking Garage and potential private development will bring over $100 million to the area known as north of Union Street. Glenn Group Ltd. was selected by the City to orchestrate the outdoor spaces, streetscape and public infrastructure needs of this mega project. The plan includes a major urban plaza around the Saint John Arts Centre. The process involved several public consultation sessions. Construction is slated for 2009.
