The Town of Truro selected Glenn Group to design a modern competitive baseball facility that includes essential amenities such as a canteen, press box, fencing, and advanced lighting. The project presented significant challenges, including flood levels, contaminated fill, accessibility requirements, and tight budget constraints.

Accessibility was a cornerstone of the design, with careful attention given to every aspect of the facility. The parking lot was designed with accessible parking spaces and pathways to ensure seamless navigation for all visitors. A combined structure housing washrooms, the press box, and the canteen was strategically and centrally located to enhance inclusivity. The press box features an elevator shaft, ensuring full accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges and reinforcing Glenn Group’s dedication to creating spaces that are welcoming for everyone.

Addressing the town’s stringent bylaws regarding water retention and stormwater management, perimeter ponds were designed and integrated into the site to manage flood risks effectively. Despite these challenges, the project was completed successfully, resulting in a facility that has become a valued staple in the Truro community.
