Hopewell Cape Provincial Park Master Plan
Glenn Group, the original site designers responsible in the 1990’s, for the transformation of NB’s iconic tourism product from a rest area with a view to the largest gated attraction in Atlantic Canada. In 2020, the firm was asked to take the attraction to the next level with an ambitious vision to increase revenue to the province. The Rocks master plan focuses on improving capacity and efficiency of the operation to improve the visitor experience while generating more significant revenue. This includes the addition of new washroom and interpretive buildings, updated paths and plazas to improve traffic flow, and several sculptural elements that peak interest and create photo opportunities, namely the “rock garden” pictured above as you enter the park.
The game changer is the addition of a new destination anchor within the park: a spa experience that provides an opportunity to interact directly with the water, the iconic mud of the site, and the cooking methods of the aboriginal people who originated here.
