Glenn Group was selected as prime consultant from a pool of nationally recognized firms to undertake this project. The gardens on this 27 acre site are representational of the summer estate gardens of St. Andrews-By-The-Sea. They also act as a training and educational centre for the landscape industry and home gardeners, offering courses with topical information on new plants, gardening tips and features in the Kingsbrae Gardens. The plan was developed to be operationally self sustaining. Natural habitats are planned to become attractions within the garden, including interpretation and protection measures. Within two years of opening Canadian Gardening Magazine ranked it one of the top 10 public gardens in Canada. In 2001 it was awarded Best Outdoor Attractions Site
for sites under $1,000,000 - Attractions Canada Award.
