Historical Rehabilitation
Experimental Farm
Prince Edward Island
2004
Since 1909 Agriculture Canada has operated a research station in what is now within the city limits of Charlottetown. Commonly known as the Experimental Farm
, the operation has been declared surplus. The Friends of the Farm,
an incorporation of citizens, is interested in the preservation of the station lands for common use by all residents and tourists alike. The Charlottetown Area Development Corporation (CADC) and the Friends of the Farm
recognize the strategic location of the land in question and the unique opportunity for reuse of the site. A Steering Committee was formed to retain the consulting services of a team led by Daniel K. Glenn Ltd. for the development of a concept plan for future use of the Experimental Farm.
