Bonshaw Provincial Park Natural Playground

Glenn Group and Cobequid Consulting joined forces as a design/build partnership for this natural playground and trails project. Community consultation helped inform the design which is themed on a Mill that once operated on the West River. Larger pieces such as the elm climber and red stone rocks came from the island. Nova Scotia hemlock was imported for the other features including: a large shelter, sign kiosk, picnic tables with burls on carved legs, hillside, swings, log jam, bike rack, steppers, benches and tots table. A provincial park signage system was also developed including trail signage.
