New Brunswick Scenic Drive Master Plan & Scenic Lookouts
In preparation for this Scenic Drive Network Spatial and Infrastructure Analysis, THC engaged Glenn Group to prepare maps illustrating the magnitude of existing tourism assets along the drives. The firm generated intelligent maps using GIS (Geographical Information System) data obtained partially from the department, and as generated by the firm using New Brunswick grid coordinates derived from Google Earth. This format allows maps to be generated for any or all of the tourism asset inputs for each or all of the five scenic drives. Currently, the data includes: Waterfalls, Harbours and Interpretive Pavilions, Geo-Wonders, Beaches, Shipwreck Sites, Pioneer Cemeteries, Historic Fortifications, Community Museums, Attractions, and Parks.
