Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre

The Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC) is a major federal laboratory project in Moncton, replacing and expanding the Gulf Fisheries Centre on Université Avenue. Once complete, it will bring together more than 700 employees from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, the National Research Council, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in a single collaborative science hub dedicated to protecting Atlantic freshwater and coastal ecosystems.

Glenn Group contributed the landscape architecture for this landmark net-zero facility, shaping the public realm, terraced plantings, and site experience that ground the building in its community. Part of the federal Laboratories Canada strategy and designed to net-zero, LEED Gold standards, the science wing is expected to open in 2028, with the entire facility operational around 2032. Our team modelled the site in Revit, working in a shared BIM environment alongside the architecture and engineering teams to coordinate the landscape with the building and its complex systems.
